When the proverbial hits the fan anywhere in the world Helen Zahos is quite possibly going to be there in a heartbeat, halo firmly in place. If you ask me, Helen is an angel in disguise. An Emergency Nurse, Humanitarian, Paramedic and incredibly resilient woman, Helen has volunteered in disaster areas around the world and has cared for some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Helen has volunteered in Iraq in IDP Camps, in Nepal after the earthquake and Philippines after the Typhoon, as well as assisting during the Syrian refugee crisis on the border of Greece.
\nWe talk about how nothing ever came easy for Helen, how hard she worked to be able to do the work she loves. The ups and downs of the personal sacrifice and emotional investment and how Helen has and continues to manage herself in the middle of it all.
