One of my all-time favourite guests is returning for yet another brilliant conversation.\xa0
\nIn 1967 after 74 successful combat missions over Vietnam, Fighter Pilot Captain Charlie Plumb was shot down in his F-4 Phantom jet... On his 75th mission, only 5 days before he was to return home. Captured, brutally tortured and imprisoned in the Hanoi Hilton where Charlie remained a prisoner of war for the next 6 years.
\nThe conditions and cruelty that Charlie lived through are beyond comprehension and we discuss them in more detail back in episode 232. However today, as I am ever curious around how we can reverse engineer other people such as Charlie's experiences to draw out the lessons and possibly apply some of them to help us adapt to and overcome our own adversities in live.\xa0
\nJust as I said last time, these conversations are a blessing and they well and truly change my world... I hope you feel the same.\xa0
