"Chasing Nashville's": Autumn Blair

Published: Aug. 19, 2014, 6:26 p.m.

Eighteen year-old West Virginia native, Autumn Blair started her music career at the age of eight. After winning various music competitions, including receiving a “Golden Ticket” to Hollywood on American Idol and being one of the youngest to perform on the West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame stage, Autumn realized her true potential as a musician. Two years ago, Autumn was found on YouTube and was asked to be the lead talent in Lifetime’s reality series, Chasing Nashville.

Since the show’s end, Autumn has been writing and performing her own songs across the region. Although she is the kin of Country great, Loretta Lynn, Autumn’s extremely broad vocal range and profound personal lyrics cement the struggles and successes she’s encountered in her personal life. Essentially, her vulnerability extends to relatability, setting her apart from other Country artists. Autumn's lyrics cultivate a message to empower others not to let circumstances dictate their life. This is exemplified in powerful songs like,“No Place Like Home” and “Hear Me Now,” which are regular requests on the radio in the region.
