Published: March 4, 2020, 4:31 a.m.

Once again, we are spending the month of March talking about some of the most influential women in the world of music. And we're kicking it off with a truly legendary singer. Selena was barely in her 20's when she was crowned the Queen of Tejano, a genre of music that is a real boy's club. Born with a natural talent in her voice and the drive to make all of her dreams come true, there was no stopping this woman from becoming a beloved artist to not only the hispanic population, but everyone around the world. Her story has everything- family, going against the odds, true love, and unfortunately, betrayal. But instead of focusing on her tragic death, we want to spend this time celebrating her unbelievable life. One that we should consider ourselves lucky to have experienced.
