Before there was punk, there was a band called Death. If we were to tell you that three African American boys from Detroit, Michigan were playing punk in their bedroom years before bands like The Ramones or The Sex Pistols had gotten together, you'd call us crazy. But this is a true story- meet the Hackney brothers, who, with the encouragement of their friends and family, learned how to play instruments and make music together after being inspired by legendary rock acts. But, they never seemed to get recognized for their revolutionary sound until over 3 decades later.
