b'Disney Drops Gina Carano From The Mandalorian After Controversial Social Media Post Actress Gina Carano has been dropped from the Disney+ Star Wars show, The Mandalorian after she shared a post on social media comparing the treatment of Republicans in the U.S. to Jewish people during the Holocaust, Lucasfilm announced Wednesday night, after several users on social media had demanded her removal. A Lucasfilm spokesperson told the press Carano is \\u201cnot currently employed\\u201d by the Disney-owned studio and there were \\u201cno plans for her to be in the future.\\u201d\\n\\nThe spokesperson then added Carano\\u2019s posts \\u201cdenigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.\\u201d\\n\\nOn her Instagram story, Carano shared a post which talks about the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany and ends by asking, \\u201cHow is that any different from hating someone for their political views?\\u201d'
