In it, a user named Kayleigh Weeks claimed that she had purchased a whole chocolate cake at the Golden Arches.\\n\\nWeeks\' video showed a square-shaped cake featuring an image of Ronald McDonald and white frosting, which was revealed to have a chocolate-looking spongy interior. She claimed that she had gotten the cake for $9 at a location in Omaha, Neb. (Related: McDonald\'s Is Making These 8 Major Upgrades.) Insisting that the video must be a hoax, some commenters were left in disbelief. Others claimed that similar cakes had been available at McDonald\'s for years\\u2014to those who knew to ask for them.\\n\\n"My grandma used to buy me a [McDonald\'s] cake every birthday," one commenter wrote. "They\'ve been there since the store opened," another added.\\n\\nSome, who claimed to be employees of the chain, said they\'d seen cakes available for staff birthdays. Others were adamant that their locations sold no such item.\\n\\n"I called them and embarrassed myself," one TikToker who apparently joined the investigation said. "The lady that picked up laughed at me."\\n\\nWeeks herself admitted that the offer likely wasn\'t available at all McDonald\'s locations. And to prove she wasn\'t pulling a fast one on the TikTok community, she posted a second video showing herself buying another cake at the same location\\u2014receipt and all.'
