Auckland CBD businesses hit hard by another lockdown

In Auckland's CBD it appears the lights are on but nobody is there. The impact of this week's third inner city lockdown in a year is being so widely felt some businesses say if they cannot get rent relief they may have to shut up shop for good. The city moved from alert level 3 to alert level 2 on Thursday morning but while restaurants, shops and office buildings have flung open their doors, Aucklanders have stayed away with one business reporting not a single customer for two hours.
