Wellington Water under the pump after more burst pipes
Wellington's derided water infrastructure has endured another horror week, capped by a burst pipe yesterday that created a spectacular geyser in the busy central suburb of Aro Valley. More serious was a sewage pipe breakage on Monday which created a stench and louder calls for the city's leaders to repair the decrepit infrastructure.
