Experts urge overhaul of school system
Alarm over falling student achievement has prompted calls for a radical overhaul of the school system. The man who led a big review for the government two years ago, Bali Haque, says the problem is the inevitable result of a failing system. He is backed by other experts who say teachers won't reverse declining achievement without big changes to the way schools are run. Here's RNZ education correspondent, John Gerritsen.
