b'It\'s been great to see drum and bass making it\'s way onto more dance floors, and Space Cowboys was especially glad to find room for it at this year\'s Breakfast of Champions. Kimba was one of this year\'s junglists and we\'re excited to have her set on this week\'s RIPEcast.\\u2028\\u2028Here\'s what Kimba says about the mix: \\n\\n"I was stoked and honored to receive the booking for Breakfast of Champions 2014 this year, of all events in SF, BOC is certainly on every DJ\'s bucket list. To top it off in an even more awesome way, getting to play a drum & bass set was the icing on the cake. My NYE was spent at New Bohemia where I played 3-4am, my BOC set was opening the side room 6-730am, marathon night is an understatement, but I\'m a trooper and powered through. Settled in to the back room with an intro of 90s hip hop which I quickly learned is more difficult to mix than I anticipated (hence it\'s absence in this mix lol). I figured liquid and ragga dnb were how I\'d like to spend my morning after being up all night and that\'s how I formulated this mix. Taking it from some sweet liquidy sounds progressing into that classic ragga jungle which everyone knows and loves (as you can see from my track listing I totally had a binge on the Jungle Cakes Label.)
