Mario Munoz interviews Grammy Award winner Nadia Shpachenko

Cal Poly Pomona Music Professor Nadia Shpachenko won her first Grammy Award for her album, \u201cThe Poetry of Places,\u201d in the category of Best Classical Compendium at the Staples Center on Jan. 26.

\u201cI feel like the Grammy is the icing on the cake,\u201d the Ukranian-born Shpachenko said. \u201cI really did this project because I wanted to work with these composers \u2026 I wanted to connect the works with all the things I was passionate about, in this case architecture.\u201d

In this podcast, Shpachenko talks to Rio Grande Guardian broadcaster Mario Mu\xf1oz about the new album. The interview took place before the Grammy Award winners were announced.
