Quebec's best MMA referee and one of the world's best, Yves Lavigne, appeared via telephone on this episode to talk about the sport of MMA in Quebec. Lavigne went hard at the Quebec athletic commission, detailing the many discrepancies in the Quebec MMA rule book. Lavigne explained that knee strikes and submissions are technically illegal in provincial law but fights under the unified MMA rules continue to occur because of ignorance of the law while legislators refuse to actually write MMA rules into law.
Dave and Kevin discussed the Japanese-based Dream promotion and gave a full preview and predictions for DREAM 15 including Gegard Mousasi v. Jake O'Brien and the main event of Shinya Aoki defending his lightweight title against Tatsuya Kawajiri.
