“The thing I can tell you … about the Goodell Award that RIMS just recently bestowed on me … is [that] it’s the pinnacle of your career, if you will, to receive that award. And to have Mary Roth … present that award to me was just overwhelmingly heartfelt.” — Lance Ewing

“I have an amazing staff. … I couldn’t have received the Goodell award without my staff. They do such a phenomenal job in backing me up and, quite frankly, keeping the engines running.” — Lance Ewing

“My philosophy has always been, from a risk standpoint, the more safety, loss prevention, [and] risk control you have, the fewer claims you’re going to have.” — Lance Ewing

“I’m looking for competency … but I’m looking more for chemistry [when reviewing risk management professional job applicants.] Are you going to fit with the team? .. There’s go to be a competency and a chemistry [but] I think chemistry is most important.” — Lance Ewing
