The fame came fast because at the time there were only 3 channels on TV. James soon became a darling of the talk show circuit in the late ‘80s and through the ‘90s: Joan Rivers, Geraldo, Sally Jesse and many more would feature Jimmy James to either impersonate Marilyn or sing some his live vocal impressions: Cher, Judy Garland, Billie Holiday, Bette Davis, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and more! He toured the world with his show “Marilyn & Voices” — All LIVE no lip sync. Eventually, in 1997, James retired his visual impersonation of Marilyn leaving his illusion intact while he was still the best. But not before landing on a giant billboard in Times Square as Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland & Bette Davis featured with Supermodel Linda Evangelista for a clothing line. During the Covid shutdown of 2020, Jimmy James took to his mother’s living room starting May 7, every Thursday, to entertain on Facebook Live while including his mom as his sidekick. http://www.jimmyjames.com https://www.instagram.com/jimmyjamesgram https://www.facebook.com/JimmyJamesVoices/
