In 2003, Dottley made his professional acting debut in a production of Terrence McNally's “Lisbon Traviata” at the Actor’s Lab in Hollywood, CA. His performance was reviewed "Letter-perfect" by the LA Times.  In 2008, in his starring role as “Ty Williamson” in Sordid Lives: The Series, from IMG Global and Viacom. Sordid Lives The Series aired in 16 countries around the world with Dottley starring with icons Rue McClanahan and Olivia Newton-John, and TV stars Caroline Rhea, Beth Grant, Leslie Jordan and Margaret Cho.  Jason Dottley has released 5 consecutive Top 40 Billboard records, 3 of those Top 25 Billboard, 1 Top 20 (US) and additionally aTop 20 and Top 10 (UK) hit singles.  In 2010, Dottley produced "Yellow" at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood, CA, for which he won the most prestigious West Coast theatre award, the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle "Best World Premiere Play" Award. He has produced and starred in major national tours with icons Rue McClanahan, Delta Burke, Caroline Rhea and Georgette Jones.  In 2015, Dottley began a multi-city tour for his first full length one-man comedy show "Life on the gAy-List".
