Soon after the Oct. 7 attack, university officials and student groups issued a series of statements about the Hamas attack and Israel\\u2019s response. This led to an escalation of tensions between student protesters and the school\\u2019s administration. Columbia and other universities have come under increasing pressure from students, politicians and donors about how they\\u2019ve responded to student demonstrations.\\xa0
