\nSteve Keen is Associate Professor of Economics & Finance at the University of Western Sydney, Australia and author of the book "Debunking Economics". In 2010, Keen received the Revere Award from the Real World Economics Review for most cogently warned of the crisis, and whose work is most likely to prevent future crises.

\nSteve Keen was given one and a half hours to present at the Local Future event, which gave him the opportunity to present a comprehensive treatment of the dynamics of credit money and the \u201cGlobal Financial Crisis\u201d (to use the Australian moniker for it) or \u201cGreat Recession\u201d (as economists in the US refer to it).
