The Message of Jesus
Jesus comes preaching his first sermon which, in effect, is a summation of all his preaching. He says, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel." Though his message may seem obvious, these three often heard themes (the kingdom of God, repentance, and faith) are some of the most misunderstood in all of Scripture. Rather than gloss over them, we must think carefully about them. The difference is eternal life or everlasting death.
