b'When I wrapped up my daily radio career on CISL\'s Wakeup Club this week in 2000, old friend Lesley Gore was among the first to get in touch. \\n\\nLesley topped the charts in 1963 with her debut single "It\\u2019s My Party,\\u201d produced by the legendary Quincy Jones! The song sold more than a million copies. Lesley followed up with "Judy\'s Turn to Cry", \\u201cThat\\u2019s the Way Boys Are,\\u201d \\u201cShe\\u2019s a Fool,\\u201d \\u201cMaybe I Know,\\u201d \\u201cSunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows\\u201d and another million seller, \\u201cYou Don\\u2019t Own Me.\\u201d\\n\\nLesley was part of the lineup for the Legends Of Rock\\u2019n\\u2019Roll at EXPO \\u201986, and she was my guest on Timmy\\u2019s Christmas Telethon in 1989. In this 2000 interview, Lesley talks about how her career started, working with Quincy Jones, the shows we\'ve done together over the years, and the enduring appeal of her music.\\n\\nLesley Gore died of cancer at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan in February, 2015.
