Kindred Valley started with Lacy and Brett McCoy, two musicians\\nand fellow Marshall University students who got together, thinking they might\\nbe able to write a song. It was early fall of 2020. The pandemic was raging.\\nThere wasn\\u2019t a whole lot else anyone could do, except look for ways to spend\\ntime.

Some other players came and went, but eventually Kindred Valley\\nstarted to come together as a trio with a handful of originals. The three\\nreleased the songs, but there was essentially no place to go with them. Public\\nperformances were essentially unavailable and, as fall turned to winter, the\\npandemic worsened, and they had school.

Fast forward a couple years and the successful release of a\\ncollection of songs, mostly written by Lacey, released at the very end of 2022,\\nand really finding some traction on social media. Performances at the Purple\\nFiddle, Mountain Stage, and now Red Barn Radio has found Kindred Valley a\\nfast-growing fan base who love their thoughtful writing and the sweet harmonies\\nthey put together.
