\nAdequate and affordable housing has long been a big issue in Memphis and Shelby County. The pandemic has brought the eviction issue front and center for many. Dorcas Griffin, Director, Division of Community Services will give us an update on where things now stand. Also, Miska Clay Bibbs, Shelby County School Board Chair, will join me to discuss the possibilities of a return to the classroom for students and teachers and a proposed bill by the Governor for SCS to return to class for 70 days (this school year) or risk losing possible funding. Finally, Universal Parenting Places provides no-cost therapy and counseling for parents who may experience challenges with their children. Right now, they are\nin danger of closing if they can\u2019t find an administrator. Ace Awareness Foundation Executive Director Dr. Renee Wilson Simmons will join me to explain what they do and what will happen if forced to close.
