Who's Calling | Real Ghost Stories

Published: Oct. 27, 2020, 9 a.m.

A grandmother expects a loved one to follow through on what was discussed on a phone call, only to later learn that the person she was talking to, was not who she thought.

Here is a preview of the story.
“After about 20 minutes of cooking and more chatting, my grandma realized my uncle never came down, and the person had hung up waiting. She went upstairs to his room to see what the heck was taking him so long, and when she walked in talking to him, she realized he was not there. There was no one upstairs in any of the bedrooms. When my uncle came back home later that evening, she asked him why he left so late for work and why he did not want to take the phone call that afternoon. He was confused and told her he was at work since early that morning. My uncle was the only boy in the house, so whoever spoke to my grandma mimicked the voice and tone of my uncle.
My grandma never told anyone these stories until she had moved out of that house because she did not want to scare us while she lived there.”

I went back down into the basement to move the laundry to the dryer. The feeling was stronger, and I felt that whoever was watching me did not want me there.”
