Saskyra Rosano is the chef-owner of Dasa Catering, as well as operating her own youtube channel. She shares her journey starting her culinary career in the UK, and Jakarta. Like any male-dominated field, for centuries women have faced the challenge of being an outsider. Women have been stereotyped in being too emotional at work, lacking in strength to survive in the professional kitchen environment.
\\nLike any stereotype, it is created and thought by narrow-minded people who are insecure about their place in the world. There is no place for stereotypes in the kitchen. When you can kick ass in the kitchen, then you have the right to be respected as much as anybody else. No matter the gender, colour of your skin, race, or economic status!
