The Rap Thought Podcast took a short break from rap albums and took a deeper look into Frank Ocean's debut album, Channel Orange. Neither Matt or Brandon had listened to this album before and were excited to give this a spin. Channel Orange is a really insightful album with lots of deeper messages behind the lyrics. The production was also a stand out of the record with a wide range of sounds and colorful musical backdrops that really set this album a part. Channel Orange ranges in concepts from being a teenager in love to drugs and police injustice to black identity and much more. There's a lot to take from this album and shows why Frank Ocean has left an incredible mark on the current music world.
