Chronicles of Oz In 1900 L. Frank Baum wrote a children's picture book called The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This led to a successful 12 book series that told of the people and places in the Land of Oz. These radio dramas are: 28 minute two part adaptations of the first four books in the Oz series. This program is made possible with a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
