Richa Jain, born in Delhi, India. She started her formal training in Kathak at the age of 3 years from her mother and father. She is the daughter of Kathak exponents Late Guru Ravi Jain who was a disciple of Padmashree Shambhu Maharaj of the Lucknow Gharana and Alaknanda Devi of Benaras Gharana. Kathak dancer Richa Jain\'s mother Smt. Nalini Malhotra Jain was also her guru who learned Indian classical dance from Pandit Sunder Prasad and Pandit Kundan Lal Gangani of the Jaipur Gharana. Kathak Exponent Richa Jain also received her initial vocal music training from Shri Ajit Kumar Mishra and later was groomed in Hindustani classical vocal music under the guidance of renowned Guru and exponent and State (Odisha) Sangeet Natak Academy awardee Pandit A.Maheshwar Rao of the Gwalior Gharana.
