My guest this week is Ryan Noble. Ryan has been involved in a number of bands over the years, most recently as the bassist for The Soft White Sixties. Prior to this, he spent many years as the front person for DESA, which was a band that spawned off of the beloved Bay Area Ska-core band Link 80.
\\nRyan is one of the most talented people I have the pleasure of calling a friend. I\'ve known him for about 25 years now, and was fortunate enough to play in two bands with him prior to his joining Link 80. The Blast Bandits and O.F.S. were both ska bands based in the Central Valley of California, and we had some truly great times.
\\nRyan has written some of my favorite lyrics, and I\'ve always appreciated his unique perspective on life. During this episode, we talk about what it was like to jump from an obscure band cutting it\'s teeth into the spotlight as the lead singer of a road tested band. We spend some time talking about some of his experiences in his various other projects, and dive into his lyric writing techniques. He also shares with me some of his favorite artists (both musical and physical), as well as his 5 Desert Island albums
\\nThe episode also includes a song from The Soft White Sixties at the end called "City Lights", so check that out
