\\n\\nOctober 23, 1966 - The Jimi Hendrix: Experience records its first two songs, "Hey Joe" and "Stone Free" at London\\u2019s De Lane Lea Studios.

\\n\\nDecember 16, 1966 - The Jimi Hendrix Experience release "Hey Joe" in England. By February 1967, it reached Number Four on the British charts. The next single, "Purple Haze," reached Number Three. The group\\u2019s debut album, Are You Experienced?, remained near the top of the charts through the summer of 1967.
