Dr. Mark Bailey, Ph.D. is the Department Chair of Cyber Intelligence and Data Science (CIDS) at the Oettinger School of Science and Technology Intelligence, and the Co-Director at the Data Science Intelligence Center, at the U.S. National Intelligence University ( https://ni-u.edu/wp/ ). The National Intelligence University (NIU) is a federally chartered research university in Bethesda, Maryland, operated by and for the United States Intelligence Community (IC), as its staff college of higher learning in fields of study central to the profession of intelligence and national security. The Anthony G. Oettinger School of Science and Technology Intelligence (MSTI) prepares students for careers specifically at the forefront of science and technology intelligence. Prior to this role, Dr. Bailey served in several roles in the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of State, and the Intelligence Community, including: as a Biochemical Intelligence Analyst and Medical Support Officer in the United States Army Reserve (where he also has the title of Major); as a Chemical and Biological Foreign Policy Advisor within the Office of Missile, Biological and Chemical Nonproliferation, U.S. Department of State; as a Department Chief at USAMRIID; and as a Chemical Engineer at National Institute of Standards and Technology. Dr. Bailey has Master of Science (MS), in Technology Intelligence, from National Intelligence University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh, and an MS in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from University of Kansas.\\xa0
