In 2000, the UN Security Council adopted resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. Never heard of it? This resolution paved the way for women to participate in peace processes, for countries to adopt "feminist" foreign policy, and for academia to take more seriously issues like sexual violence in conflict. PRIO Deputy Director Torunn Tryggestad explains how far we've come, and how far we still have to go.
