Mark Myers is on the podcast today! Mark is the former director at Waubonsie Valley High School and is the current Associate Artistic Director at Chicago Children's Choir. Our wide ranging discussion moves from his first position out of college with the CCC, through his time running Sound Check and the school-wide auditioned ensemble "Mosaic," performances with those students at places like the gospel brunch at House of Blues, and how SCA shaped his life. Mark also discusses how we need to look at dismantling the way we train and support music educators to build a better music classroom. You absolutely can't miss this one!
