Brewery 006 - Rio Lobo Winery & Brewery - Weyauwega, WI

Published: Feb. 18, 2021, 1 p.m.

Cameron & Jonathan have a couple beers with Gunnar from Rio Lobo Winery & Brewery in Weyauwega, WI. That’s wolf river in Spanish. And in case it’s not obvious, the Wolf River is a real river that runs through Wisconsin.

This was actually the first episode we recorded with the newest brewery we’ve talked with thus far. Special shout out to Gunnar and Rio Lobo for being our guinea pigs in this whole podcasting thing!

Gunnar shares Rio Lobo’s passion for growing as much as they can for their operation. They have their own vineyard for the wine grapes. They grow their own wheat and six different hop varieties for brewing. They will soon be offering wood fired pizza in the taproom for which they grow their own tomatoes. Even the sausage toppings will come from the beef and pork they’re raising on the farm.

From farm to glass to this episode!
