Ep. 27 Angry John No More, Long Live Happy John!

Published: June 14, 2017, 9:17 p.m.

The man formerly known as Angry John wins his third bracelet, and becomes a very happy John Monnette! Our own Will O'Connor talks to Monnette after winning his bracelet, and he had a lot of interesting things to say.

We discuss Monnette's bracelet win in-depth, as Will was on the scene for the whole thing, and we go over whether or not this game is just too boring to watch from the sidelines despite it being one of the most exciting ones to play.

The Milly Maker plays down to a winner today with $1.2 million up top, and we preview the day in which Ralph Perry can capture the ultimate redemption after becoming the bad end of a poker clip that still lives on in the minds of poker fans all over the world.*

Aside from this, we finally have love for THE MARATHON, the $1,500 Limit Hold'em and the $10k Razz as all three events shape up to have very interesting final tables and/or winners. Oh wait, it's already been decided that Adrian Mateos will win this one to become the youngest player ever with four bracelets, and one of the very few to have done it in this era in such a short span of time.

* Redemption never came, as Perry - despite a chip leader with 14 left - got knocked out in 12th place, but we still had fun daydreaming about a heroic victory for the man who was once sent on his bike by Tony G holding king-jack.
