Perseverance is what is needed for successful start-ups and Veronica Fil CEO of Grounded Foods has plenty of it. She took the leap together with her partner and Co-Founder Shaun Quade to make the move from Australia to follow their mission. They decided to come across to the US to launch their alternative cheese food brand. This came about after chef Shaun was making plant-based dishes in his restaurant in Australia and stumbled upon creating a great tasting camembert cheese made from fermented cauliflower. Hear about the horror stories of launching a start-up, to now raising a successful seed round of nearly $2m. Which has given them the breathing space to launch their new product range.
