As a special needs planning attorney, I am proud that today’s show features an important interview with Nancy Batterman, CEO of “Options for All”, a California non-profit that makes a key difference for more than 1,000 adults with developmental disabilities. Operating upon the belief that everyone who wants to work deserves a job, and can be employed with proper support, Options For All is a leader in helping people get and keep a job and live as independently as possible.  Options For All offers a wide range of programs and services throughout the state of California, including San Diego, San Bernardino, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Riverside counties.   You can also hear about volunteer and giving opportunities, and the exciting news that Options for All is partnering with Inclusion Films, headed by Joey Travolta (John Travolta’s older brother), to provide hands-on, skill building learning opportunities for participants in a film studio environment.  The 80-week film and media training program, with 100 active individuals currently enrolled, provides 25-hours-per-week of training and prepares individuals with the skills they need to work in this industry. This program will be coming to Santa Clara in late fall 2018.  Visit www.optionsforall.org for more information.
