Travelogue: Midtown Comics, NYC

Published: Oct. 25, 2019, noon

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and I was in the Times Square area of Manhattan. I had a half hour to myself, so I did what I'm supposed to do in a situation like that: I went to the comic shop. On today's podcast, I talk about my trip to the store and what I found there. Sometimes, it's fun just to get lost. If you have no game plan, you never know what surprises might pop up. I kept an eye out for European comics, naturally, and got the chance to see what Magnetic Press and IDW, in particular, are up to these days. There are some very nice print books out there today. Their album format is the model all publishers should use in reprinting albums in North America.
