The Detection Club

This time around, I'm taking a look at the first volume of a two-parter called "The Detection Club." It's a story based on a real life social club that started in the 1930s for detective writers in Great Britain. They're a fascinating cast of characters, with quick wits and dialogue that drips with sarcasm, put downs, and one-liners. It's all very... British. And I LOVE it. Corrections: * The second volume of "The Detection Club" is only 51 pages long, not 100. And this first volume is 88 pages, not 100. So this series really is more a three volume set collected in two volumes, for whatever reason... See? I can still do math good. * I may have slightly mispronounced "Peter Ustinov" to sound more like "Houstonov." That was a slip of the tongue from talking too fast. Management, as always, regrets the error.
