SOMETIMES THE world feels like there is an evil entity that thrives on hatred, working tirelessly to keep groups at each others throats. \xa0(We mean\xa0besides Al Sharpton.) \xa0Case in point: Those who are exploiting reaction to the George Zimmerman verdict for personal or professional gain. \xa0(Like Al Sharpton.)
Remember:\xa0\xa0"Your\xa0adversary the devil\xa0prowls around\xa0like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8) \xa0Situations like this are made to order for the Enemy, and so-called men of God like Al Sharpton had better have a real good explanation when he faces the ultimate Judge.
Meanwhile, we prefer to focus on real heroes like teens Temar Boggs and Chris Garcia of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who saved 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas from an abductor last Thursday by chasing down the kidnapper's car\xa0on their bikes. \xa0This story is especially important today because Temar is black and Jocelyn is white. \xa0Think on that while demagogues try to fan the flames of racial hatred.
Also: Thanks to alert listeners who pointed out that Doug Harris of Reachout Trust, whom we mentioned on Saturday's show, recently passed away following a battle with cancer. \xa0We overlooked Doug's passing and we regret not having known him better. \xa0His work on apologetics was top-notch and much needed.
