In this week\\u2019s episode, John interviews Dr. Prenay Parikh. Prenay is an internist, podcaster, and real estate investor. He still works as a nocturnist, but he\\u2019s been helping others to invest in real estate since co-founding\\xa0Ascent Equity Group about three years ago. He is also the host of the From MD to Entrepreneur Podcast. In addition to his medical credentials, he recently completed a Masters in Medical Management through Carnegie Mellon University.

His company Ascent Equity Group is built by physicians for physicians. With decades of combined experience investing in single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use projects, his firm seeks to acquire cash-flow and tax-efficient opportunities that allow investors to grow and preserve their wealth outside the stock market.

John brought him onto the podcast for an update on real estate, mainly because of the recent increase in interest rates and bank failures we\\u2019ve recently experienced.
