Matt Carroll did not follow a typical path to becoming a\\nSuperintendent with the National Park Service.\\xa0

\\n

During a full career with the Air Force, Matt picked up all the\\nskills he would need to be a Park Superintendent; management,\\nbudgets, leadership, operations and more. He also volunteered with\\nthe National Park Service for many years before he retired from the\\nAir Force.\\xa0

\\n

Typically, by the time a ranger becomes a superintendent, he or\\nshe has been immersed in the culture of the park service for years.\\nMatt came in from the outside to the role of Superintendent of\\nGreenbelt\\nPark\\xa0and Baltimore-Washington\\nParkway.\\xa0

\\n

Shortly after joining the Greenbelt Parkway, Matt developed a\\nlist of 2016 Superintendent Priorities. Matt posted the priorities\\nat Park Headquarters so park staff, volunteers, and visitors could\\nsee them.\\xa0

Here are the 2016 Superintendent Priorities for the Greenbelt\\nPark and Baltimore-Washington Parkway;

\\n
    \\n
  1. Improve Visitor Experience, Customer Support &\\nPartnerships
