Philip Brophy  has written regularly for The Wire and Film Comment magazines and has two books published by the British Film Institute, 100 Film Soundtracks and 100 Anime. A sharp-tongued polymath, Brophy discusses the ecosystem of search on the internet and how Big Data filtering has decayed the early potential of a free web.
