Wayde Compton is the author of The Blue Road: A Fable of Migration (illustrated by April dela Noche Milne), The Outer Harbour: Stories, After Canaan: Essays on Race, Writing, and Region, Performance Bond, and 49th Parallel Psalm. He is the editor of the anthologies Bluesprint: Black British Columbian Literature and Orature and The Revolving City: 51 Poems and the Stories Behind Them (with Ren\\xe9e Sarojini Saklikar). The Outer Harbour won a City of Vancouver Book Award and his story \\u201cThe Instrument\\u201d won a National Magazine Award. He has also been nominated for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize and two other City of Vancouver Book Awards. Compton teaches in the faculty of Creative Writing at Douglas College.

Andrew French is an author who was born and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia. French holds a BA in English from Huron University College at Western University, and is pursuing an MA in English at UBC. He writes poems, book reviews, and hosts this very podcast.
