Environmentalists concerned with pro-mining candidate in ISA elections

A storm is brewing under the surface of the UN affiliated International Seabed Authority. The election of its Secretary-General is set to take place at the end of this week in Jamaica where the authority is based. Proceedings however, have been marred with controversy at a time where the outcome will decide the future of deep-sea mining, and in-turn, the future of international waters.
