Outerfocus 39 - Niall McDiarmid
This week Outerfocus welcomes the very excellent, Niall McDiarmid.
Born in Scotland, now living in London, Niall is a documentary photographer focusing on the people and landscape of Britain.
I first came to Niall’s work through his exhibition, Town to Town, at the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol and instantly became a fan. His striking portraits, keen observation and familiar landscapes are building a picture of what it means to British in our time. We talk books - including his own - his process, exhibitions and what he is working on now.
Niall's portraits are held by the Martin Parr Foundation, the Museum of London, the National Portrait Gallery and the Sir Elton John Photographic Collection.
