Fish Nerds - Mark Titus, Director of The Breach

When Clay was preparing for a trip to Seattle, our friend Olaf said \u201cDude, you have to talk to Mark Titus\u201d. Despite Clay\u2019s best attempts, he did not find Mark for an in-person interview, but he got his number and the Nerds caught up with him to ask about salmon fishing, restoration efforts and the issues with aquaculture. He also got a custom Fish Nerds quiz!

Mark is a writer, director and founder of August Island Pictures in Seattle. He\u2019s studied acting at the University of Oregon, directing at Vancouver Film School and directing actors with Judith Weston. Mark spent his 20s as an Alaskan fishing guide and during that time, began working on the craft of screenwriting \u2013 finishing several screenplays while living in the wilderness. THE BREACH is Mark Titus\u2019 first feature documentary. It won Best International Documentary in its first film festival \u2013 the 2014 Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland \u2013 and was selected as one of ten Best of Fest films at its North American premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January 2015 as well as the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival \u2013 April, 2015
