Deep down, you know you are meant to do something bigger, something meaningful that only you can do. Sadly, you continue to stay where you are, doing what\'s expected of you, head down, and plugging along like a cog in the wheel. The real problem is you are just too scared.

To pursue your real work, you will need to give up everything you\'ve worked so hard to build. You keep telling yourself you\'ll embarrass yourself in front of your peers and friends or you\'re too old to start something else. Maybe even your partner or your spouse will leave you. You don\'t even know what your real purpose is. That\'s a big one.

Part Two of ‘Overcoming Adversity – Thought Leadership Through Life Experience’

According to a Harris interactive study of American workers, only 20% feel very passionate about their jobs, 33% believe that they\'ve reached a dead-end in their career, and 21% are eager to change careers. There are many reasons people stay in occupations and positions that don\'t suit them. First, they believe it\'s too late to be successful at anything else. Second, family pressure. Third, they fear that they will lose the security and steady income of a paycheck or benefits. And the list goes on.

What do you think is the biggest reason people stay at positions or companies that are fulfilling? The truth is, there are many people out there living prosperous lives doing work that is purposeful and fulfilling. They all had to overcome their share of adversity to get to a place where they are living the life they were meant to live.

Remember what makes you unique is the one thing the universe intended to create when He created you. If you\'ve been going through the motions and are feeling like your work is meaningless, realize that it doesn\'t have to be that way. You are more than a statistic. You have a unique life purpose, and the world is waiting for you to deliver it.
