At the start of the show, Eric discusses the mortgage market. Rates are still VERY good,\\xa0 at 3.71%, 15 year fixed at 3.39% and FHA & VA 3.3%. Because of the holiday season, the bond market is considered "thinly traded", meaning there may be fluctuations in the market due to low volume, but it's usually pretty stable. Also, now is a great time to think about refinancing your home. You can even push your payments out to start in March, so that could give a bit of relief from holiday spending while saving you more money in the long run. Win-win!
