Simon Templar had a visit from a cowboy named McGowan but known as Tex. Seems that someone was trying to kill him as he was bushwhacked stepping out of a taxi in New York. In a couple of days he was due in Chicago to see a guy who knew he was coming but wasn\\u2019t hankering after seeing him seems he was trying to make sure Tex didn\\u2019t make it. So Tex he wanted The Saint to make sure he managed to stay alive.
