Come And Get It stars Edward Arnold in the lead role as Barney Glasgow the same role he played in Samuel Goldwyn\\u2019s 1936 screen production. Other stars include Miss Anne Shirley as Lotta and Lew Ayres as Bernie. Also from the original 1936 movie are, Walter Brennan as Swan, Mary Nash as Emmie and Mady Christians as Swan\\u2019s sister, Karie. It is 1880 lumberman Barney Glasgow leaves his true love, saloon singer Lotta Morgan, to marry Emmie Hewitt, his boss\\u2019s daughter. His buddy Swan marries Lotta instead. Twenty-five years pass and married to Hewitt\\u2019s daughter Barney Glasgow\\u2019s success was certain and his advancement rapid. He\\u2019s the head of the firm now. He is sad when he hears of the loss of Lotta and eventually goes to visit Swan when he meets Swan and Lotta\\u2019s daughter who is the spitting image of her mother. Barney still in love with her mother finds himself falling in love with the young Lotta but Lotta falls in love with Barney\\u2019s son Bernie. Before the story producer Cecille B. DeMille tells an interesting biography of Edward Arnold. Original novel by: Edna Ferber Once again Lux produce a wonderful adaptation for radio.
